21.03.2020 Wall to wall sunshine!

Saturday 21st, 38F after an overnight frost. All day sunshine according to the forecasts.

From after 9.00 I have been capturing videos without having much to show for it in processed images.

The images right are as processed and with a touch of sharpening.

The results aren't very satisfying at all. There is no real definition on the video or processed image. Fortunately there is no dewing on the optics today. I checked.

The third image down [right] has a touch of refocusing.

I have repeatedly swapped between blocking filters and prefer the B1200 over the B5 every time. Images at left are from after lunch. 13.49 & 14.04.

I am getting a strongly asymmetric lighting pattern when [motor] tuning the PST etalon. So it is probably too floppy without the correct [and very stiff] original O-rings. 

I realized that I hadn't checked the objective alignment. It was close but not perfect. Fixed.
