Fullerscopes Telescope Mountings

This blog has become my ATM design, build and imaging diary. I have recently built several new telescopes, a large equatorial mounting and a raised 10' [3m] dome on an octagonal building. Be aware that I deal with building solar telescopes. Which are potentially VERY dangerous! I can accept NO responsibility for any action not directly supervised by myself. 5.03.2020 Huge prom on the West limb at 2 o' clock.

Thursday 5th cloudy all morning. Clearer after lunch with some sunshine. Started about 14.30.

Highly variable seeing with strong, thermal shaking.

Struggling with cloud and contrast.

Using very short exposures, 1ms, and more frames, 3k, by increasing the gain, to try and freeze the movement.

The results are surprisingly acceptable give the conditions.

Certainly promising for the days ahead with better seeing conditions.

I'm hoping for more lunar imaging this evening.
