Saturday 18th. Sunny morning after a cold night.
8.00 Set up early to capture early seeing. 500 frame videos processed with 100 frames stacked. Early seeing not all that good. Added WO Barlow for increased image scale. Changed to PST blocking filter for more contrast and much lower gain.
9.00 Continuing to capture lots of short videos with low gain and up to 10ms exposures. Seeing improved after 9am. Image from 9.16 and 9.56. The prom has already changed in little over half an hour.10.00 Continuing to capture lots of short videos and trying different things.
11.30 Clouded over with thin high stuff!
1420 63/54F After lunch. Some odd markings near the eastern limb. I have
the Lunt B1200S2 back in but the 2x WO Barlow is taken out.14.51 An attempt to push the processing harder than usual. I was seeing very sharp detail on the monitor for fractions of a second. Thought it might be worth trying to capture it.
