9.04.2020 Solar imaging.

Thursday 9th. A sunny day but a bit breeze from the north.

Thankfully, yesterday's cloud has moved on.

10.45 54/46F [In/Out] Slightly chilly but the wind is behind the dome.

10.57 First capture is rather dark but shows remnants of AR2759 as it approaches the western limb. 640x480, cropped and resized to 500 pixels for increased scale. Should really try the 2x WO Barlow.

11.14,17& 25. Additional images using the 2x WO Barlow.

14.00 62/55F. New pale spot on eastern limb.

14.03 800x600 with 2x WO Barlow.

14.27 840x480 NO Barlow.

All images are 40% of 3k frames in AS!2. Captured as Mono16 in SharpCap. SER video files into AS!2. TIFF 16 bit out of ImPPG into PhotoFiltre7 for colouring and brightness adjustment. No sharpening! The slightest touch of the Sharpening button produces horrible artifacts!

Rather poor seeing conditions today. The mono image [left] is a snapshot [a still without any processing] Just to show how much improvement is possible using "lucky imaging."

Blog editing with images is a nightmare. What you see is unlike anything I see on the editing page.
