Tuesday 9th it started sunny but became more cloudy from the SW. It is supposed to clear eventually. So I haven't rushed over today.
11.15 62/56F. Still haven't capture and processed a single, worthwhile image. Playing with tracking, alignment and guiding in SharpCap. Too much cloud!
Late in the afternoon I tried again. Though now the thermal agitation was reduced the clarity was poor. The few videos I processed weren't worth pursuing further.
I am getting the hang of using SharpCap's auto-capture features and guiding. I have never really bothered with them until now. Doing everything manually allowed me to wait for moments of clarity and overcome any guiding issues. When the seeing conditions are suitable it is worth getting lots of videos on the hard drive.
I am still playing with capture intervals but hope an animation will become possible at some point. What I need is to be able to see the average quality of a video "thumbnail" in a size which makes sense for processing or ignoring.
