Thursday 2nd July 2020. 11.45. 65/62F. Following days of cloud and some rain it looked promising. Then clouded over to full overcast! Then brief sunshine. Now teaser cloud. PST BF plus 2.6x GPC.
Proms at 8 and 10 o'clock eastern limb showing on outdated Gong Ha. Possible smudge at 8 o' clock?
12.00 Tracking the sun but no sun so far. Teaser cloud! Focused and centered on 11 o'clock and waiting.
I have just emptied half a bucket of water collected from all the trays on the base ring.

12.41 First sunshine! Complex AR in lower SE quadrant. Very soft seeing. Tried both BFs. B1200 won on surface detail. 18.40 Back again but the sun isn't really clear of cloud. Persevered and was rewarded with a few brief windows.
Huge disturbed area near eastern limb!
