5.10.20

5.10.2020 Brief sunshine, with poor seeing, then cloud.

 *

Monday 5th 9.15, 54F, early cloud around the sun cleared to bright sunshine but windy from the east again. Expected to remain rather cloudy.

AR2773 is all but gone but for a bright patch on the limb. Seeing is already boiling. Gong H-a showing only a few small filaments on an otherwise blank disk.

After a ridiculously inaccurate slew and then having ASCOM disconnect [again] I am tracking the sun for what it is worth. My first image was just mush.

10.15 58/55F AR12773 is barely recognizable in my images as it travels out of sight around the NW corner.

I have patrolled the disk but can see nothing very exciting. Only a small, bright spot, high in the NNE near the limb. I had better have a look for proms. Nope. Nothing worth trying to capture.

10.30  A massive plate of cloud has arrived from the south east. I ought to find something more interesting to do now.
