9.10.20

9.10.2020 More cloud. Interesting feature in the south.

Friday 9th 46/40F Clear overnight but cloud increasing. Another 5 gallons of rain collected in my base ring tubs!

I captured some poor images of the moon. The telescope was pointing up high so I missed that the objective had misted over! I thought it was the seeing! Grr!

9.00 50/46 After a blast with the hair drier on the lens and the D-ERF I turned the telescope onto the very low sun. I have the telescope focused but cloud is getting in the way and getting worse by the minute.

10.12 55/50F Constant cloud from the SW as the seeing improves behind the cloud! I'm having to add lots of Gain just to see the surface.

10.45 Dark grey overcast with small breaks here and there but only overhead. I'll keep trying if I can just get a clearance.

12.00 A large blue patch appeared. Then cloud continuously formed between the sun and myself!  Out of thin air!

ASCOM[AWR] keeps disconnecting!

12.28 58/54F Best so far? Probably not.

15.20 Still here. Waiting for the cloud to break.

15.30 It poured down for a few minutes.

I gave up.
