1st December 2025 Patience!

 ~*~

Monday 1st. For the second day in a row the sun is teasing through thick cloud. No sunshine is forecast but there it is. Brief brightness through blue holes. I managed to capture a few videos yesterday. Though really, none worth sharing. The image is probably upside down.

11.00 It is still too early. For the sun to shine usefully through the small dormer window. Where I have the telescope set up on the upstairs landing. Aimed through the window for when, or rather if, it shows itself again. For long enough to be worth capturing.

The sky is quite blue to the north and dense to the south. I shall just have to be patient. I am glad to be indoors today. Rather than sitting in my cold observatory. Waiting endlessly for the sun to clear. While the wind whirls around me.

I still have to confirm the best position for the Lunt etalon inside focus. Having re-attached the bored out, 2" extension to the nose of the etalon. It's exact position still needs to be fixed. For the most even H-alpha detail across the entire solar disk.

 The sun never reappeared.
