17.05.2020 Are stacking comparisons odious?

Sunday 17th Unexpectedly sunny late morning after a couple of days of overcast.

11.25 62/59F Each capture opens in ImPPG with coarse sharpening.

I have captured 500, 1k, 2k and 3k frame AVIs one after the other.

Using 100 stacked in AS!3 in each case.

Each opened in ImPPG and then saved as 16 bit .tiff files without any deliberate processing.

Followed by labeling in Photofiltre7. Again without any additional changes or processing.

The next set of images are from identical captures but stacking 200 frames instead of 100.

Organizing all of these images on the blogspot page is proving difficult.

Hence the labeling of each image.


I processed another full set with 50% stacking but can't really point to any which are noticeably worse or better.

I had several swallows zooming into the dome and out again while I was imaging. They have done this before. They are known to try and nest inside buildings and under overhangs. Several swallows nested in the changing rooms at a local football ground after they left the doors open.
