19.05.2020 Paler patches in poor seeing.

Tuesday 19th. Overcast until after 11.00am [CET]

Seeing steady for five minutes then poorer.

12.30  68/60F. Waiting for rapidly moving cloud from the west to clear.



Changed to PST BF for proms. Several tall 'flames' but without enough contrast to capture.

Tried using the 2.6x TS GPC.
Better scale but soft seeing.

14.29 Back from lunch to B1200 BF.

17.50 68/58F Returned in the hope of better seeing. Much less thermal energy in the monitor image!

18.47 Eventually the suns sank behind the local trees. Ending any hope of further captures.
The seeing was improving until then but was not great. There were no moments when the detail settled into sharp detail.

Not a wasted day by any means. It is all good practice processing endlessly different captures.
