Wednesday 20th 57/53F Early mist cleared to sunshine. Early thermal stability was soon replaced by mobility and noise.
So I tried the lightly lower power 1.6x T-S GPC in place of the familiar x2 WO Barlow.
Lots of nice detail but the seeing is just too "busy" to provide really high quality images.
Time to reassess the problem: See next post Pt.2.
When cloud intervened I changed the 30T focuser drive pulley over to a 20T. The 20 tooth ratio is much slower but doesn't overshoot like the 30Tdoes. I seemed to spend more time going back and forth once I had found a rough focus.
