12.40 Spot [AR] has appeared in south east. Teased by cloud, the wind, high frequency shaking and LF bodily movement. As well as going in and out of focus!
Three x 500 frame captures. Two compete and utter duds and one surprise.
Then my laptop died. The light was on but nobody was at home. I was saved by a YT video telling me to hold down the start button to drain static build up. The light went out but then the laptop switched on again. Huge sigh of relief!
Whoops! The camera was rotated when an aftermarket cable gave up. I went back to the original ZWO flat cable. Not long enough at 2m.
So, lunch over and it is back to the solar grindstone. Or as my wife likes to say: I am a: "Grindstone cowboy." After all, I am [quote] "Just an amateur." 😉
14.55 and it's now 90% cloud cover but the wind is slightly
lighter. Am I having fun yet?
15.30 62/58F The sun came out fleetingly so I captured lots more videos through the mess of thermal agitation. Pushing the processing much harder. 500 frames in 3 second. Not a glimpse of sun since of almost solid overcast.
16.30 Sun came out again. Several areas of interest apart from the spot.
18.00 Back to try and capture the better, late seeing. Only cloud!
18.30 Seeing much steadier but not transparent. Thin cloud constantly streaming across the sun.
