Tuesday 13th 72F, cloudy but clearing to a rather white sky.

ASCOM[AWR] managed to find the COM3 port today. Nothing has changed to prompt this discovery. After several days I can use Cartes-du-Ciel again. Another day of battling with the etalon sweet spot. Violent thermal shaking on the monitor. Transparency quite good  in brief moments between softness.

11.32 First image. Huge, dark filament near the limb. Small flaring area just south of the filament. AR12842 continues eastwards. Brighter "horns" above [N of] the AR.

11.45 Cropped to remove asymmetry of image brightness due to etalon/BF mismatch and large image frame. 1000x1000. I needed to get more interesting subjects into the same image without a mosaic.

I keep swapping  GPCs, changing frame size and adjusting the PST etalon.
