Sunday 15th 60-65F, sunny periods with occasional showers.

It rained just as I was going over to check on the latest fibre-glassing. It seems to have hardened well. Without any remaining stickiness on finger contact.

The doubled, net-reinforced tarpaulin is doing a good job of keeping everything dry. I have left it in place to see if the weather settles enough to work on the dome.

The smell of styrene is much too strong to leave the cover in place while I am working with wet resin. The tarpaulin blew back over the open slit yesterday in a sudden gust. So I had to stop work to pull it back and restrain it properly. The wind is much lighter today.

The sun came out so I tried to capture the huge prom at 11o'clock using the PST BF.  [Badly!] I never had a chance to tune or focus properly. Ironically, at 11 o'clock it became completely overcast. My previous captures of the surface were all spoilt by PST sweet spot issues.

11.39 Another clearing allowed a better image. Without any GPC to get all of the prom in the frame.

11.49 Different processing and cropping. There is a long, faint arch heading south.

More, solid plates of cloud crossing.

Tried increasing Sigma in ImPPG.
More detail in the prom cloud but is it real?

12.30 I have added the 1.6x GPC to the camera nose for more scale. Still waiting for the cloud to clear. The sky is completely overcast now.
