8.09.2021 Whoops!

Wednesday 8th a long, sunny day reaching 73F.

Having the shutters back on the dome and together again, proved to be a problem. They would not meet in the middle. By about 30mm! My carefully chosen brackets had caused me to drill a row of 10mm holes. Which rather limited my options. Large holes can't just be moved sideways. Nor easily hidden in smooth fibreglass.

So I shall just have to buy another lot of angle brackets with longer, odd legs. This would let me keep the holes where they are. While gaining up to 20mm each on the present offset. There are even brackets with slots. Which would be ideal. If the slot is wide enough. The image shows one inverted relative to my own use.

A late afternoon imaging session was ruined by local trees having gained more height as the sun sank lower. I have lost a full hour of visible sun on recent imaging times.

Both of these images were captured during irregular shading by the trees as the wind moved the upper branches. Both show sweet spot irregularity in brightness.
