Fullerscopes Telescope Mountings

This blog has become my ATM design, build and imaging diary. I have recently built several new telescopes, a large equatorial mounting and a raised 10' [3m] dome on an octagonal building. Be aware that I deal with building solar telescopes. Which are potentially VERY dangerous! I can accept NO responsibility for any action not directly supervised by myself. 4.05.2022 Afternoon imaging.

Wednesday 4th 58F, sunny but thin white cloud and white haze around the sun:

15.09.51 first processed image: In time reverse order.

15.09.22 Some flaring visible: It might be worth trying the 2.6x GPC for a closer look. Seeing conditions permitted.

17.16 The seeing has settled slightly.

17.48 Another cropped image. Various light bridges appearing sharper.

18.00 Yet another crop: The seeing isn't improving as much as I would have liked. Defocusing and mid frequency thermal shaking.

18.06 Slight crop.

I am seeing more detail on the monitor than in the processed images.

18.30 56F. The seeing isn't improving and it is getting colder. Giving up for today.

Update 6/05/2022. My images from the 4th have been recognised for a SPOD on the Solarchat Forum.
