6.4.20

6.04.2020 More sunshine with southerly gales!

*

Monday 6th. 55F and climbing rapidly to [an expected] 17C/66F heatwave! The wind is blowing and the trees rocking again. Which puts me off rushing over to the observatory. Like I usually do, even if the sun is barely visible between heavy clouds.

11.00 56/54F [In/Out] SE wind blowing into the dome!

AR12759 is slowly dissolving/decaying into the surface. My early images have
horribly asymmetric brightness levels. I'll try re-tuning for a more even result.

I found a long screw to manually adjust the etalon without closing it up. By careful adjustment the brighter corners can indeed be removed. See image bottom right. 640x480 Mono8 and cropped.

After lunch the wind was very silly. Blowing loose stuff around in the dome. One last image for the moment 14.46. [Right] The filament has [almost] gone! Time to do something more productive.
