Monday 11th Cold and windy from the north with sunny periods and large clouds.
08.30 46/42F. A complete change in the weather! Back to the down jacket fleece over fleece and fingerless gloves! Set up, centered on the sun then nothing but cloud. It has taken 12 minutes just to get enough sun for focusing!
8.52 First [dreadful] image with dark linear markings. Possible filaments?
Gong H-a showing little of interest. No proms or surface markings except for a couple of smudges.
I had to go back indoors to warm up and to put on some long johns. Yesterday I was comfortable in the open dome wearing only a T-shirt on top. It was 66F and quite still. Today I am shivering. It is windy and struggling to reach 48F.
It became very cloudy with almost no sunshine. So I found something else to do.
Plenty of things to attend to.
16.11 Tried a single capture to check the seeing.
Did a tour of the limb looking for proms. The the disk looking for anything interesting. Still a remarkable lack of solar features today.
