Wednesday 13th 48F. Lots of cloud with brief sunny periods!10.45 50/44F. I'm set up but there's very little clear sky. Nice prom at 8 o'clock. Fitted the 2.6x TS GPC for more scale than my usual 2x WO Barlow.
I am seeing clarity in the prom on the monitor. Perhaps the latest ZWO driver has helped? I am still trying to confirm this. I'm not seeing this clarity coming out of AS!3. 100 stacked of 500 frames.
Changed to the PST BF for more light during 2-3 second captures. The lower cloud is moving at right angles to the higher stuff. I am spending most of the time jiggling the gain slider but still can't focus the prom. Violent thermal agitation.
12.00 53/47F I'm getting 150fps at 6.7ms Gain 84. Now the sun is clearing the cloud more often the seeing is absolute rubbish! The main prom is arching towards the south where there was a minor brightening. Far more sunshine but the seeing is still awful!
